I am an African American woman originally from Cameroon
I am an African American woman originally from Cameroon a bilingual (French and English) country in Central Africa. I am from the French part of the country. I relocated to the United State on December, 2009. I currently reside in North Carolina (NC) with my husband, son and daughter who are six and two respectively. We are a very happy multicultural and biracial family. My husband is American and white, our son and daughter are the best of our race and cultures.
My motivation is to be a role model to my kids, someone they will look up to as they grow up. I am a team player and love to interact and get to know every new person I come in contact with. I am also a “perfectionist” and pay attention to every single detail, which can be time consuming in a world that is not so perfect. However, I am learning and redirecting myself to focus on details that really matter because I am beginning to understand that every single detail is not important in life.
Beside taking care of my husband and kids, I love to bake, shop and listen to some French music to help me stay connected with my home country. I’m guilty of overthinking but I see it as an asset not a liability. My life here in the USA has come together nicely and I am blessed to have learned more about what this country has to offer while experiencing those blessings firsthand.

I was born just south of Pittsburgh
I was born just south of Pittsburgh in a little town in between farmland and steel mills. I was blessed to have a large family that was close and had many memorial moments together. We were a poor, working-class family who had to work hard, but we knew how to play hard too. I was a good kid that loved my schoolwork, but I couldn’t play sports because I had to go to work after school to help the cause. I actually started working at 11 doing two paper routes. Then when I turned 13 years of old I began helping my father as a handyman. By the time I was 18 I was doing construction and making a decent wage. My mother cleaned houses and did a lot of interior decorating. My dad worked in the steel mill and my brother was an artist in many different aspects. I decided not to go to college because I was making a good living doing design and build.
Fast-forward a decade and I decided to become an artist of my own. I began a concrete overlay business and over time have become an artisan with concrete overlays. I absolutely love doing what I do, and it has shaped who I have become. I will take all the principles and values that I have learned along the way and apply them to my parenting of our children.
About 10 years ago, I met my wife Miry, and we began our journey of building our family by getting married in the beautiful city of Reston, Virginia. Since then, we have been blessed with two beautiful children. We then decided to move to North Carolina about five years ago and it has been the best decision we could have made. We love it here and our family has settled in nicely. Now it’s time to have fellowship with like-minded individuals and couples.
